Event Security Committee Completes Preparations for Eid Al Adha

The Dubai Event Security Committee has confirmed its readiness to ensure a secure, safe, and joyful Eid Al Adha holiday. 

Security Plan 
His Excellency Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Acting Commandant Assistant for Operations Affairs and Acting Chairperson of the Dubai Event Security Committee (ESC), explained that the security plan for Eid Al Adha includes securing all mosques and grand prayer grounds, as well as deploying traffic and security patrols to ensure safety, maintain smooth traffic flow, and reduce congestion, in collaboration with partners from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). 

Al Mazroui further explained that the Eid Al Adha security plan includes providing 34 marine security boats, two helicopters, 139 ambulatory points, five rescue boats, 52 bicycle patrols, 515 security patrols, 130 civil defence vehicles, 24 small cranes, 21 land rescue patrols, five CBRN responders, and four operations rooms, along with two ambulatory boats. 

Transportation and Vehicles 
He also highlighted that the Eid security plan enhances transportation services, featuring 104 trains, 16,981 luxury limousine vehicles, 13,867 taxis, 1,240 public buses, 43 marine transport vehicles, four traffic diversion units, and seven traffic management & public transport control centres. “Additionally, 18 hospitals and outpatient clinics, along with a health operations centre, will be on standby to ensure public safety.” Al Mazroui continued. 

Command & Control Centre 
Al Mazroui confirmed that the Command and Control Centre operates 24/7 to receive emergency calls and reports, ensuring a swift and professional emergency response. He appealed to the public to call (999) only for emergencies and to use (901) for non-emergencies and general inquiries. Additionally, he encouraged reporting violations through the ‘Police Eye’ service on the Dubai Police website. 

Speed Compliance 
Al Mazrouei urged the public to adhere to road speed limits and avoid spoiling Eid's joy by driving at high speeds. He emphasized the importance of this in preventing traffic accidents and the serious physical, psychological, and financial consequences that can result. He also advised jet ski users to stay clear of areas where families are gathered on the beaches. 

Attention to Children 
Moreover, he encouraged beachgoers to stay vigilant and keep a close eye on children at beaches, pools, and other crowded public spaces. Al Mazrouei also reminded users of bikes and four-wheel-drive vehicles in desert areas to drive cautiously and avoid excessive speeds. 

 Fireworks 
Furthermore, Al Mazrouei urged families and parents not to allow their children to play with fireworks during Eid, emphasizing the importance of keeping them safe. He pointed out the dangers associated with fireworks, which can lead to injuries, burns, and disfigurements that may result in permanent disabilities. He also warned that fireworks can ignite fires, posing risks to lives and property while causing significant material and environmental damage. 

Sports Competitions 
Additionally, He highlighted that the Event Security Committee, the Positive Spirit Council, and the Dubai Police Station Directors’ Council are committed to providing recreational activities for workers in areas such as Jebel Ali, Al Sufouh, Al Muhaisnah, and Al Quoz. “They will organize sports competitions on Eid Al Adha's first and second days from 5:00 PM to midnight, aiming to bring joy and share in the festive spirit with them,” Al Mazrouei concluded.
